
This first edition we retain the best of hexagonal and international cinema with a selection of films without Borders (France, Japan, Philippines, Algeria, Israel, Italy, Morocco ...), diverse and projected preview Belgian, Benelux or European. A selection Belgian Cinema and Cine Youth of short films of great quality emphasizing the talent of the young generation of Belgian filmmakers. A public meeting despite the particular context of recent days, the opening was attended by over 600 people in the prestigious Grand Hall of the Eldorado of the UGC De Brouckère 17 November, the 3 original events of FIFB: the Jobs Cinema Day (first show dedicated to the film industry), the Media Day (producing her first film) and Deaf ' vision (image and deafness) have meanwhile gathered over 1,000 participants. The documentary "favorites" were also aroused great public interest which actively debated in a constructive and enthusiastic atmosphere.
Following the increase in the terrorist threat, the Brussels International Festival of Film (FIFB) originally planned until November 21, has unfortunately had to close prematurely and cancel its closing ceremony at the UGC Brouckère.
